How to Export IFC from Rhino Using VisualARQ

In this tutorial you will learn how to export your models from Rhino to IFC. Once you have exported your IFC files you can upload them to Tridify’s 3D BIM to web service and publish your models online. You can even combine IFCs to a single 3D BIM model. Remember, before you do this, you will need to sign up to Tridify and start a FREE 14 DAY TRIAL.

VisualARQ extension for Rhino allows creation of IFC objects and export of IFC files.

Export from Rhino to IFC:

  • To save the entire model, go to (File > Save as..) and save the model as an IFC file.
  • To save part of the model, select the objects to export, and go to (File > Export) and save the model as an IFC file
